KIP 20 Employees Continue Their Schedule of Hefty Donations
In New Jersey all political donations are declared and databased by the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission, or NJELEC. They provide a nice online interface to search by candidate or contributor, which is accessible here: https://www.njelecefilesearch.com/SearchContributionByContributor So, naturally, we’re interested in whether anybody involved in KIP 20 LLC’s proposed scheme to pave over five acres of farmland has been making donations.
If you access the site and search for “KIP 20” as the employer, you will find these records:
We believe that everybody has the right to be politically active and support whatever causes they feel committed to. The purpose of this post, however, is to shine some daylight on those activities as done by the employees of a company that intends to permanently change the nature of the Gateway to Holmdel, by creating a five acre development that is more suited to a strip mall than residential or agricultural land. They have never before, at least in the records of the database which go back many years, made such donations, but all of a sudden they are contributing a lot of money.
Let’s not forget that Holmdel recently renewed it’s master plan and that plan did not state that Red Hill Rd was a location for commercial development. If “Zoning” is to mean anything, then it must prevent such “variances” and waivers.
